All About Ankara.

Anyone who has been around me this year clearly knows that I’ve been really into Ankara lately. I’m obsessed with all things Ankara be it clutch bags, necklaces, bangles, earrings etc. I sort of have an Ankara fever, believe me! But, what better way can we embrace our diverse and rich African culture?

This A- Line maxi skirt definitely passes for a perfect Sunday outfit paired with a pair of sandals. The skirt is simple yet very classy. I mean you are all covered up, but you still look very stylish. I love it particularly for it’s gathers and pockets (sorry I haven’t shown this here) and how it sort of accentuates your body structure really well especially the waistline. I went for a thinner waist band here but you can go for a larger/thicker one depending on your fit and also to consider are the prints, mine are very subtle here meaning I can almost wear it with any top.

Let’s talk Fabric! Who struggles to get a good quality Ankara fabric when Mambo Pambo are existent? Absolutely No one! It always has to start with getting a top quality fabric, which by the way doesn’t necessarily have to be pricy followed by getting a proper tailor. It can get quite frustrating when you are trying for months to get the perfect Ankara fabric and which does not fade and does not get held up on your body and any of this, is always a WIN WIN for me.

I’m really excited to explore more ways to style Ankara so in-case you have any thoughts, feel free to drop a comment  with your ideas below. 🙂

Thanks for reading! Love & Love.
